　　Well, something that I did not think I could accomplish was to communicate with local people during my stay in the U.S. last summer.

　　At the beginning, I found I cannot communicate with the locals smoothly in English, because English is not my first language. As a result, I felt isolated in a new environment. And I tried my best to improve my English and talk to my home stay and others as much as I can. Later, I adapted to the environment and assimilated into a new culture.

　　Another barrier blocking me from outside world is my personality. I am timid and shy and always feel embarrassed when talking to someone unfamiliar with. Therefore, I lived alone with no friends at the beginning. Later, I tried to become outgoing and open to other people. Within few weeks, I was able to make a lot of new friends, and I became even more sociable than before.

　　I believe the best way to learn is by making mistakes, because I've learned a lot during my stay in the U.S. last summer.

　　At the beginning, I made a lot of mistakes when I talked to the locals in English. And my home stay and friends tried to correct my mistakes and showed me how proper English like. Later, my English had come a long way (= my English was improved) thanks to my friends pointing out my mistakes.

　　Also, my timid and shy personality prevents me from getting alone well with others. Therefore, I had no friends after I landed in the U.S. Ever since I realized this mistake; I tried my best to be outgoing and to talk to others. This experience made me learn how important to be open to other people. Within few weeks, I was able to make a lot of new friends.

　　A special opportunity was my summer holiday in the U.S. last summer. And I have two reasons. This experience is very special to me because of two reasons.

And I tried my best to improve my English and talk to my home stay and others as much as I can. Later, I adapted to the environment and assimilated into a new culture.

　　Also, I changed my personality and became outgoing. Before that I was timid and unwilling to talk to someone unfamiliar with. Therefore, I lived alone with no friends at the beginning. Later, I tried to become outgoing and open to other people. Within few weeks, I was able to make a lot of new friends, and I became even more sociable than before.

　　There can be several advantages to spending time living in another country. Talk about one advantage and explain how living in another country provides that advantage. Use details and examples in your response. 说说在国外生活的好处。

　　There are two advantages of living in another country that I want to talk about.

　　First, living in another country can help you improve the language of the country. The reason is that you have to try your best to improve the language in order to communicate well with the local people. Otherwise, you would be isolated from the rest of the society.

　　Also, you will have a chance to be more outgoing and sociable if you live in another country. For example, I used to be very shy and unwilling to talk to someone unfamiliar with. However, I have to force myself to change my personality and become open to other people in order to adapt to new environment, make new friends, and live comfortable in the country.
