Task-1
The bar chart below shows the percentages of population aged 65 and over in Canada, Germany and the UK.
The chart compares three countries in terms of the population aged 65 and over in 1980 and 2000, and gives the prediction in 2030. In general, a modest growth can be easily identified in all given three countries.
Clearly, Germany had the largest proportion of the population among all three countries, the pace of which all figures present seems to keep continue in the future till 2030. In 1980, the population stood at 15% in Germany, followed by the UK with a sightly lower percentage at roughly 14%, and Canada came the least with only 10%. Later, it seems to me that the rate at which the population increased in Canada was faster than the rate in the UK. That is, the figures in these two countries resembled by 2000 both at 15%. Then by 2030, Canada coming from the behind with the figure reaching approximately 22%, though still lower than Germany, however is predicted to surpass the UK.
