“责任”这个词是广大“烤鸭”熟知的词汇，却很少能将它灵活运用在雅思写作当中。其实笔下无词不一定是因为你的词汇量太小，也可能是忽视了小词在不同话题中的灵活运用。

　　沈阳环球教育栗源锶老师提醒大家请先记住三种搭配：

　　1.be responsible for  1）是…的原因；2）对…负责

　　2.take responsibility for；shoulder the responsibility of  承担…责任

　　3.hold sb. accountable for  使某人对某事负责

　　先来看一道报告类（report）的题目：

　　剑桥雅思4 Test4：In many countries schools have severe problems with student behavior. What do you think are the causes of this？ What solutions can you suggest？学生有严重行为问题的原因及解决方式

　　考官范文开头段有这样一句话：poor student behavior seems to be an increasingly widespread problem and I think that modern lifestyle are probably responsible for this.

　　这里be responsible for 意为：是…的原因。

　　举一反三：我们也可以用这一表达来回答report的原因

　　例一：汽车尾气和工厂废气的排放是全球变暖的原因。

　　Emissions from vehicles and factories are responsible for global warming

　　例二：贫穷是很多社会中犯罪上升的原因。

　　Poverty is responsible for the crime wave in many communities.

　　例三：不恰当的财富分配，而不是现代科技，是贫富差距的主要原因。

　　The improper distribution of social wealth, rather than the influx of modern technology, is largely responsible for a widening gap between the rich and the poor.

　　在写solution的时候也可以用上这个短语的另外一个意思：对…负责

　　例如：政府应该为倡导健康的生活方式负责

　　The government is largely responsible for advocating a healthy lifestyle.

　　此外，我们也可以使用“责任”名词词性来表达相似的观点：

　　例一：公司和机构不应该仅仅作为营利组织，而应该承担更大的社会责任。

　　Companies and institutions should not only function as a business, but also take a larger social responsibility.

　　例二：人类应该承担维护物种多样性和生态平衡的责任。

　　Humans should shoulder the responsibility of maintaining the diversity of animal species and the balance of ecosystem.

　　“责任”的相关表达还可以用于其他类型的题目。

　　来看一道教育类的题目：

　　Some people think children should obey the rules or do what their parents and teachers want them to do. Other people think that children controlled too much cannot deal with themselves in adulthood. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

　　题目浅析：规则的好处之一是能使孩子对自己的行为负责，帮助他们从小养成好的行为模式。Rules can hold children accountable for their behavior and help them develop good behavior patterns from a young age. 这里hold sb. accountable for：使某人对…负责 有强迫的意味。

　　这一表达也可以应用于其他相似的题目中。

　　剑桥雅思10  test 1

　　It is important for children to learn the difference between right and wrong at an early age. Punishment is necessary to help them learn this distinction. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion？ What sort of punishment should parents and teachers be allowed to use to teach good behavior to children？ 是否有必要惩罚孩子帮助他们区分对错？应该使用什么样的惩罚方法。

　　题目浅析：上一道题的观点可以稍作改动嫁接这道题目当中。

　　惩罚可以使孩子对自己的行为负责，帮助他们从小明辨是非。

　　Punishment can hold children accountable for their behavior and help them discriminate between right and wrong from a young age.

　　再来重复一遍：学习“责任”三种搭配：

　　4.be responsible for  1）是…的原因；2）对…负责

　　5.take responsibility for； shoulder the responsibility of  承担…责任
